Really enjoyable, and a good standard of tennis in this match with Sam. I was slow starting in the first set, and with Sam serving and hitting the ball really well I lost 6-3. 2nd set I managed to up my game quite a bit and taking 4 games in a row allowed me to take control. Tie break I went 5-1 down, playing some silly and stupid tennis! But managed to claw my way back to take it. Cheers Sam, hope to see you down the club soon for a hit.

A match played against the conditions as much as against each other - with a blustery wind making it very hard for either of us to hit cleanly or play decent tennis. A first set saw us both struggle and Jon very nearly took us to 5-5 but I just managed to hang on. The second set was no easier, but somehow the key points went to me. Thanks Jon for getting this game in before the deadline.

The match reflected Cardiff City in the Premier League - I was totally out played but managed somehow to get a win. Tom in the first set was unplayable - no errors and putting away anything short - I was fortunate to get the one game. Somehow I managed to dig in and Tom started to make a few mistakes - it did take about 40 shots in the rally for this to occur. Eventually won tie break 10-8 though Tom still pondering how that occurred. A great game and Tom a fine example of improvement of many of the "younger" players

A good natured match on a blustery afternoon. I knew that Hywel would try and grind me down so I stuck to my game plan and went for every shot. As I tired towards the end the wheels almost came off but I squeaked a famous victory. Thanks Hywel

We started warming up n the rain and wind, but thankfully it turned out to stay dry for the match. First set i started really well, going 5-1 up. However a late surge from Jon, and me missing an open court twice (massive fail) meant I took the set 6-3. Jon then carried on good form taking the first game of the 2nd set, but I got back into a good grove and won 6 games to take it 6-1. Cheers Jon, good luck in your final matches.
